7) There is a type of woman in Japan who digs US military guys. The unkind term for them is "Yokosuka bitchi" after the name of one of the bases. Same as anywhere, there are a few who are fans, a few who would cross the street to avoid US military, and the majority who have no strong feelings either way. So short answer on this one: yes, the military thing will help you with the ladies, but probably no more than in the States.
