I can understand "あたたかい灯がとまっている。" as a poetic expression. But I think as Nagoyankee said, "彼女を受けている" is obviously wrong in every respect even though it is a light novel or he wanted to make an archaic phrase.
Could you give me some context or the title? I'm just curious what he meant.
