Wow, I didn't read everything on this thread (I will soon when I have time) but after reading some, I am really reconsidering about moving to Japan. Right now I'm thinking about saving up and moving there after college, but I am still uncertain about what kind of job. Thanks everyone for all your input. It really helped me think about whether I should go live in Japan at age 22 or stay in the United States. I want to know early if I really want to go or not so I can start early by learning the culture and law there, and learn what I need to do to get a good job there.

Do they immediately know you're a foreigner by your skin color? I'm asian and I think I can blend in well, but I'm rather dark, even my own "kind" don't think I'm asian. They think I'm mexican. But I do look asian. I see that Japanese have light skin, and Korean too.
