Do be careful when and where you wear the chain. It would be good to make it removeable. I have more than one acquaintance who has experienced having a piercing yanked out by catching whatever was dangling from it on a less fragile object.
Think hair brush, corner of a pillow (this was exactly this type of chaining, a cat's paw ......
or the one intentional one - a hand.
