I don't understand why people are associating only pokemon and sailormoon together with anime, i mean, there're other anime out there that they can easily gain access to, right? Maybe they should ask themselves if they like being misunderstood.. >_<"
I still remember when I was in junior high and I drew a whole lot more often than I do now. Naturally, since I was interested in anime at the time, I liked to draw in that style. A boy came up to me, saw me drawing, and then said "Why are you drawing Sailor Moon?" -_-;

I think that may have to with the fact that Sailor Moon and Pokemon have been given a whole lot more publicity in comparison to other series. Dragonball Z as well.

Also, the Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Dragonball Z series that have been aired on TV have been cut to such extremes that it's obvious that they are being catered to children. So, maybe some people just draw the conclusion that all anime is like that, and therefore is only for kids? I don't know. I won't claim to know what goes on in the heads of those guys -_-; Though I occasionally enjoy seeing the reactions I get when I tell them that Sailor Moon has been edited and that the original version not only has violence in it, but also lesbians and death. ^_^
