There are many things
In this world that will
Never be understood.
Love comes out on top
Of it all.

One day you’re wrapped up,
In it like water surrounding
Your body…
Then in a moment
The sun comes out,
And evaporates it all away.

After every drop fades,
You ask yourself,
Looking up at the sky—at the sun—
“Why did you take what I needed most away?”

The sun will look down at you
With kindness and reply,
“You were suffocating and I wanted
To save you.”

It will be then that the sun become
Someone most precious to you,
And your new Love.
