If I watch anything in general, not just animated stuff, it's purely for entertainment purposes and that's about it. Overall, though, I prefer manga to anime.

To answer the other questions...

The Best Anime Ever: I honestly don't think I have one. I have favorites, but I wouldn't say any of them are the best.

Absolute Favorite Anime: Probably a tie between Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors) and Meitantei Conan.

Most Insightful Anime: Hmm, maybe Deathnote, but I was in "deep thought" over that when reading its manga way before I ever saw its anime. In a way, when it comes to places of most anything I watch, I end up researching it or looking it up. I guess between Digimon Adventure/Adventure 02/Tamers [due to fics I used to write for the series] and Meitantei Conan, Meitantei Conan especially, I've always been intrigued to look up the places that the characters went to see if it was factually based or either made up for the show. I also tend to look up food dishes mentioned in some series, as I do have a general interest in foreign cuisines, not just Japan's.

Worst Anime: Hmm, I'd have to say, Oruchuban Ebichu. I was talked into watching it with a friend. He loved it, I was disgusted by it.

The Anime That Changed My Life and Anime Which Made You Look at the World Differently: I can honestly say nothing fits this category for me.
