it's not too hard if you use it everyday...and I'm not saying that you have to be in japan...just making some exercices everyday and you'll learn...of course like everyone said it depends on you...I really find writing very hardXD I lerned hiragana and katakana fast but kanji confuses meXD and so my biggest problem is fluent reading...
