Approaching japanese by learning the "rules of grammar" first, foremost the particles;
wa, no, o, ga, ka and so on - when to use them and why. since its way easier to form sentences if you understand how you build them and why you can't write a certain way.
studied for 3 weeks now and starting to get a basic grip off it...
