I would watch anime but the themes in anime are less dark and mature say compared to live action films, although i have watched many more films than anime and the anime i've seen didn't appeal to me. Akira looked good though, although anime was japans answer to hollywood in the 50's and it is a good format as you can create anything, which makes me wonder why everyone was like wow with cgi anything can be done, although cgi these days is very good and can easily blend with live action and look convincing, although japan is also a world leader in videogames so the japanese have embraced this. I've watched killbill and battle royale and those films are quite entertaining and the japanese influence definitely pays off. I hope to work in japan one day as part of my filmmaking career and maybe make some more western influenced films with japanese actors might make for an interesting combination. I'm making a film in the UK at the moment and if anyone is interested in being in it than just Pm me. Its a big project and me and my friend have lots planned.

If you're japanese and live in the Uk email me as i would like a language exchange partner
