If aitai is I want to meet you (as I think) then the phrase construction you have is not suitable. The phrase for what I know should be anata ni koko ni aitai...but not knowing the expression he was referring to and being written in romaji it is kinda hard for my level to understand exactly what he meant thus write a correct phrase.
