As a police officer in California, the last thing I would ever do would be to suggest a career in the border patrol. I always respect Sangetsu's posts, but the border patrol will leave you frustrated and sick. If you want a career in law enforcement and there are several avenues. But border patrol agents are routinely ordered not to do thier job. The pay isn't as good as it could be and it will lead to frustration.
p.s. Sorry to but-in in a military folk thread, but it's one of my subscriptions and I really think the border patrol would be a bad route to go (although I'm all for controlling the border as strictly as possible).
