The Meiji Jinguu Shrine will be fully-illuminated this weekend for the first time in its history. If you happen to be around Tokyo then, you might not want to miss out on this grand event.

Some of the features besides the illumination on all the shrine buildings include:

Huge lazer torii in the sky over the Jinguu Bridge.

800-meter-long light carpet on the South Approach.

Concerts (accoustic, needless to say) and

Parades (Nov. 1 only) on Omote-Sandou Street.
