I guess people might just have different ideas of what loving someone and being in love mean, so that is why these terms are being used in so many different ways.
As for how you are feeling, I remember feeling the same way when I first met my fiance. Everything seemed so easy and natural with her. Just being in her company made me feel content and at peace, and I still feel that way. It's a really special feeling. Well anyways, sorry for going on about it. I wish you all the best.
