How much english would a japanese 9th grader be able to understand? -

For my japanese class, we are writing to 3rd year jr high students. I don't want the english portion of my letter to be too hard for the person that reads it because they might hate me and decide to send a really hard japanese letter back to me.
猿も木から落ちる -Even monkeys fall from trees. 
猿が大好きです -I love monkeys.
