「これ、プレゼント。使ってね。」 = for persons younger.
「これ、つまらないものですが、受け取ってください。 」 = for friends and equals
「これ、つまらないものですが、よろしければお使い下 さい。」 = for people older, your boss (even if he/she is younger), your teacher, etc.
Notice all my sample sentences in this thread so far are just
samples. There are other ways to say these.
