There's a different between putting a twist into something, and making it shit and destroying the whole concept.
Imagine making James Bond into a gay person for example. Yes, it's an interesting twist, but it destroys the whole concept. (Note: I have nothing against homosexuals. I'm just making a comparison)
Be happy rather than a critic? Be happy of what? Some writers who have no imagination or skill in literature, making books which become "Best sellers" because they cater for the horniness in the juvenile young teen girls of the modern day?
Vampires are cool. Don't get me wrong. And vampire novels, which are written properly are very good. These "neo-vampire novels" are only love stories in disguise.
