even with instant..that sick little flavor packet(that is mostly salt)is ok in a pinch..but with a bit of effort you can do better..fry up some green onions and garlic.throw in some leftover meat,add water and simmer..you're making your own broth(stock).then cook the noodles in the broth.it's all about the flavor.
