Hum.
I don't really have a "type", but a few of the following are always good:
-BE OBVIOUS. I am quite literally the most oblivious person on the face of the earth, and if you don't tell me you like me, I can guarantee I won't know.
-Don't be full of yourself. Pretty self explanitory. XD
