[@ Gwen]If by copying you mean looking at a picture or taking a picture of someone and sketching based off of it then yea. I deffinently don't trace. What I do (and so does every other artist alive) is the use of resources. when you have the actual object or a picture of the object in front of you then you get more details and it makes your picture look a whole lot better.
