But seriously... the first mistake you're doing is to over-analyze the actions of a girl. This will get you nowhere and it only gets worse when she's Japanese. Combine this with the fact that she's taken and you've got a disaster which is just waiting to happen.
There are literally millions of Japanese girls out there. Don't waste your precious time going after someone who may or may not want to go shopping with you... let alone dump her boyfriend for you.
I hate to be blunt but I'm speaking from experience. I know it's the time of year where it's nice to have a girl latching onto our arms in front of an illuminated Xmas tree but we have to maintain our own dignity as well right?
