This is not true. I knew an old guy who was ugly, fat, bald, and wasn't rich who had beautiful women chasing him. Why? CONFIDENCE. He acted confident and treated the women like he didn't need them. This attracted them. Once a woman is attracted, logic goes out the window.
I agree with the OP on playfulness and romance. Just do the unexpected and women love that.
