Smile The longer I live in Japan, the more I love it! - 12-24-2008, 09:42 AM

I've been in Japan for more than 15 years. It was "love from the first sight" but the longer I live here, the more I appreciate this country. LOL it would have been easier to say what I do NOT like about Japan: a much shorter list!
I love Japanese culture.
I love people: they are polite, attentive to others, modest, most of them are intelligent and well-educated. I strongly believe (and all my experience proove that) that the % of kind and cruel people is approximtely the same for any country, and personal traits are stronger than national character, but Japanese culture just make people more nice on the outside, at least.
I love their sense of responsibility towards their work. After living in Japan and knowing the working style here, I'll always prefer Japanese-made things: they are most likely well-made.
I love Japanese nature: ocean, sea, mountains... it's so beautiful and there are endless variations!
I like old people in Japan. They are always nice, many of them keep studying new things, are interesting to talk to.
I like the way towns are kept clean. Not only towns, but everything.
Well, this post willl just be way too long if I'll start to write everything that I like about Japan!
