I hate it when that happens. I admit, I've only started to like Dir en grey a year after their American debut (I was still working my way up from Ayumi Hamasaki, bear with me!) but I still looked up their older work from the VK years. I see all these scene people who think they know Dir en grey and when I bring up Missa, Kisou, or anything pre-WTD they get a hopelessly lost look on their face. And now I hear people in the mall labeling them as screamo.
