Japanese Proverb Confirmation -

I found this proverb online and wanted to confirm that this is correct and the japanese letters are correct.
蛙の子は蛙
Kaeru no ko wa kaeru.
Literally: Child of a frog is a frog.
Meaning: Like father, like son.
I realize that sometimes this can be used as an insult, but can it also be nice? My dad just passed away and I've always been told that I'm very much like him, so I'm thinking of a cool tattoo in his honor.
Thanks!!
Chuck
