Hey everyone.

I know I post a lot of things asking for advice about education and schooling, and here is another thing I'm wanting to ask you guys.

How did you afford school and/or university?

I don't have a job and I'm currently finding it extremely hard to get them. I've looked at over 50 stores and handed my CV in at the very minimum 20, and still haven't been able to get a job. From this I got one interview but got rejected because the job required me to be 18, and I wasn't at the time.

In the current climate is it because so many people are out of work that they'd rather employ someone who is more flexible than a student and are able to work full time? Or am I just trying to find excuses because I can't get a job?

My Art teacher keeps telling me to do big mural paintings to get more marks, but I literally cannot afford the paint. I told her this and she really wasn't very encouraging at all. In fact she made me feel quite ashamed and I wish I hadn't have told her.

Now I'm completely stressed about how I'm going to pay for university. I have some money that I was saving up to invest in my future, but it's not a patch on the Uni fees.

Sorry, this is long as always. Basically I just want to know some budgeting tips, for when I do manage to get a job. I will be living at home so this will cut out a lot of the cost.
