You see. I find that quite contradictory.
Many of the threads on here are pointless, and if I can remember back to the time you were remembering, the threads were even more pointless.
Yes, it was easier to find friends then, which is a fair thing. But I don't think that factor is gone. Now, instead of being friends with everyone, everyone is choosing their friends.
Also, coming to the "Proving pointless things to each other", what threads? If you're talking about the few intelligent threads that actually require a brain to talk in, then I have to disagree that that's a bad thing.
If you're talking about the "How was your day?" thread, then it's no different than what we had before.
