Translating a Poem -
01-23-2009, 10:33 PM
Hey everyone. Thanks for all the help on the haikus from last time. This time I'm even more desperate because I'm trying to translate an entire poem for the birthday of a friend of mine currently living in Yokohama, and this one is way above and beyond my humble abilities. So hopefully the same brilliant and generous minds that assisted me last time will offer their help once more.
I need the following poem translated into romaji (I plan to hand write the script):
Everything and everyone is beautiful
The rain in the gutter
The quiet cemetery
There is no scar too revolting
Or a mistake too horrible to forgive
You need only look twice
Just wait and see
Sugary potion
Eyes unclouded by cynicism
Emerge from the cold shell
Share dreams
No matter what
When everything feels ugly
You must press on
Someone will unveil your beauty
Like footprints in the sand
Your hopes will evaporate
Stay the course
Open your eyes
One, two, three, four
Something exists
Suddenly you want to dance
Understandably
You wait on the corner
A crossroads
Undecided and alone
I will be there waiting
To take your hand
Sugary potion
Eyes unclouded by cynicism
Emerge from the cold shell
Share dreams
Awakening heart
Again, to all the wonderful helpers out there, thanks tremendously in advance for the help and patience.
Warm regards,
~Tekk ^w^
