I take Topamax daily for my migraines as a preventative and I still get them sometimes. I was also given a generic for Fioricet for pain and it helps 99% of the time.
I was told by my neurologist that taking Motrin (ibuprofen and tylenol) will cause rebound headaches and that they should not be taken to prevent frequent headaches and migraines.
