Sorry to pop your robot bubble dude.as reported via Toyota /Blaine Harden Washington Post Toyota plans on it's core business 'service robots' for it's auto industry. The Japanese government looks to robots for a demographic fix. Translation Japans population is shrinking. Japan has largest population over the age of 65yrs old. And the smallest proportion of childern under the age of 15yrs old. According to Hidenori Sakanaka former head of Tokoyo Immigration Bureau and now director of Japan Immigration Policy Insitute-'The scale of the coming demographic disaster assuming present trends continue is without precedent, according to Sakanaka and many other analysts.
Japan population shrinkage began here three years ago and is gathering pace.Within 50yrs the population now 127 million will fall by a third 1/3
the government projects. Within a century 2/3 of population will be gone.That would leave Japan with 42 million people and the 2nd largest economy. The negative side is pension and health/social programs would collapse way before this because of the workforce which represents 13.6 of the present 08' population ( all time record low) would fall a further 20% within 20yrs.
