I dont see how ppl keep going on how japan is expensive when the prices are actually cheaper than here where i live, its a tourist island and we pay - the residents - tourist prices for food unless you go 30+ minutes out of you way to the big supermarkets.
120 yen, up in my local shop its 170+ yen for standard milk not fresh but the kind that has like a 2 year life span on it and i live in village/town with only 5 thousand ppl so the supermarkets arent as bad as those in other parts of the island.
Stuff is expensive any wer you go unless you got an amazing salary you make a budget for daily allowances and you keep to it its easy.
