Because what you listen (Slipknot) isn't real heavy metal, it's mainstream music.
Slipknot could be good for whatever genre they are, but if you put them in the heavy metal genre they totally suck.
Compare them with mainstream music and they are good, much better than mainstream Linkin Park.
