The light from the Twilight
Blinds my eyes that have been in darkness since the morning.
I find you laying beside me
Quietly tracing your fingertips down my arm.
I shiver feeling your icy and hot touch
In the same moment.
I ponder to myself,
“Do you know how this feels?”
Sensing my thoughts you smile
And lift my hand to your cheek.
My eyes follow from my own hand to
Your soft eyes,
That contrast to the sharp darkness.
I feel the tear roll gently
Down my cheek.
Your beauty is almost too much to bear
For me alone.
I know that I’m never alone,
Even if you’re another world away.
I smile though the tears
Wrapping my arms around your neck,
Waiting patiently for the silent night to come.
