Take a guess? The name is Taln - as in talons.

Though the relationship may not start with me as the dominate partner, if it lasts I will take the lead. Its always been the case, whether I planned it that way or not. And for years my relationships crumbled because I kept trying to be the submissive, socially expected, female partner.

But that does not mean my partner can be weak. He has to have the strength to take the lead when I don't (usually in public), and to be able to sublimate his will to mine without losing his own identity or self-esteem. I have no desire to be in a relationship that is one-sided, autonomic, or otherwise completely controlling of the other person.
