I think I need to look for a book about the history of Japanese language and writing system. The more I look at replies here in the forum from native speakers the more I realize I have huge gaps to fill in. Just knowing there is a onyumi and a kunyumi starts being too little for me, I need to widen my knowledge a little bit.
