The most important difference is this:
いただく: used from the viewpoint of the receiver.
いただける: used from the viewpoint of the acton-taker. (Someone is kindly doing something for you.)

昨日田中さんからリンゴをいただいた。= I received some apples from Tanaka-san yesterday.
