aww that sucks!
what i love about japan is on one of my trips, i had my backpack with money and camera and passport in it, i left it next to a elevator, went up had some drinks realized i was missing it and came back down and it was still there hours later untouched.
that sucks some one took your purse on a cruise! id go hunting every one down lol
