Visisted Meji Jinguand I was there early enough to see the priests address the ancestors after the beating of the taiko. I stood just outside the temple proper and watched. I must have been glowing as there were lots of smiles and nods. I lieterally stumbled into it. I just started down the road from the hotel and ended up there.

The claping was interesting, not what expected. No clap-clap, bow, clap. It was more like clap (pause) clap, bow, clap, bow.

Very magical time there and nice and not so many people, well it was like 8:00am
