- Powdered Green Tea is called お抹茶 in Japanese and it belongs to the Japanese Green Tea family. There is no equiv. in China.
- Green Tea is called 緑茶 and there is a difference between Chinese Green Tea and Japanese Green Tea, both in the type of tea leaves, how they are grown and the way they are processed. Japanese green tea are steamed and the Chinese variety is fried (not deep fried, 炒める, there is no English equiv. in this case).
