German translating help? -

Me and my friends are doing a history project about the Berlin Wall. We are doing a visual novel game about the wall, and we´d need to translate our dialog for the game into German. So I´d really need some help from native speakers!
Here is the dialog, I really appreciate your help!
Today is the 10th of November..
It's the year 1989.
I´m in Berlin, my hometown.
My name is Heinrich Schmidt.
I´m a 20-year-old young man and I work at a café in the centre of Berlin.
Actually I´m on my way there right now.
It's a shame that I hate the road I have to take to get there.
No, I don´t mind the people, not the young ones nor the old ones.
Scents or noises aren't a bother either..
Otherwise I would be pretty satisfied with it, except for one little detail.
It's that damn wall.
The Berlin Wall has stood on that same place since the year 1961.
I was a little boy then, but I remember how my mom wept.
Her parents – my grandparents – were left on the other side.
I haven´t seen them since.
Actually, I don´t even know if they're alive.
Now do you understand why I hate that ugly wall?
It separates families and makes our beautiful city feel like a prison.
But still, every morning, thousands of people walk by, being able to do nothing.
We are powerless.
All we can do is get on with our lives and wait.
Wait for someone in an important political position to do something.
I´m afraid that our waiting will last forever.
But I mustn´t let my mind wander.
The traffic is busy here near the wall.
If I´m not careful, I might bump into someone.
F1: Hey! Watch out!
H: Sorry.
She looks like some kind of an activist.
The sign she´s carrying says ”Love and peace in west and east!”
Well, I know her kind.
F1: Why are you staring at me like that?
F1: Are you working for the government or something?
1* I snort and continue.
2* I shake my head and smile.
1*
I push myself past the activist.
I don´t have time for this.
I´m going to be late from work!
I leave the woman and her opinions to be and move on.
Could you be so kind and write the numbers with letters?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
