I'd never go outside just to tan... it's really bad for your skin and of course it can cause skin cancer. All kinds of people sit outside in the sun on a warm day to tan, male or female. Like someone mentioned earlier, I think a guy going to a tanning salon might look weird but I don't really get the point of tanning salons altogether...
