Anyone that thinks that the North Koreans are innocent victims of US insincerity don't have their facts straight.

Appeasement of the NK regime usually results in NK breaking any promises it makes.

Certainly the circumstances are completely different...the North Korean regime is probably less concerned with expansionist goals and more concerned with ensuring it's survival....but I don't want to be accused of being alarmist when I draw parallels with Nazi appeasement. If NK has already shown a willingness to disregard the international community and go back on agreements made in good faith, then I'm wondering how this could end without violence. Of course the only other option would be to continue to contain the North Koreans indefinitely.
