Earthquakes -

I only wondered if any of these regions were earthquake-prone;
- Kyoto (the city)
- Sendai
- Sapporo
From what I understand, Tokyo and Sendai often face strong earthquakes, Kyoto is relatively safe, and Sapporo isn't seismically active (at least compared to the rest of Japan).
We especially need imagination in science. It is not all mathematics, nor all logic, but is somewhat beauty and poetry ~Maria Mitchell (1818-1889)
