It's sad.
The question was "Which is better?", not "Which do you prefer?"
Even the OP responded to the wrong question.

In terms of power and capability I say the PSP wins, it may not be an easy victory, but it definitely crosses the line first.

PSP has the XMB (XrossMediaBar)- easy access to any content (video, music, game, friends..etc)

In terms of graphics, SONY wins this as they have with current-gen consoles.

Games - This one goes either way, really. DS has classic games as the Mario series, Zelda, and the ever-so-popular Pokemon games. However, the games on the DS are more fun-oriented games. They lack the emotion bond found in such games as Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (anyone who's beat the game knows what I mean.. some man-tears shed during the last cut-scene), God of War: Chains of Olympus.

Network capabilities - I would argue the PSP takes this one, too. Granted wireless play between friends is easier with DS right now, as ad-hoc (?) isn't currently available in the US, but the ability to search the web, and to wirelessly connect to the PS3 (if you have one) and stream vids and music and view pictures stored on it is a note-worthy feature.

Up-coming games - I don't claim to keep up with DS releases but this year is looking promising for the PSP, Rock Band: Unplugged releases this year, ad well as LittleBigPlanet and Assassin's Creed 2 will be finding its' way onto the handheld. The Duke Nukem Trilogy, Gran Turismo Mobile, and this next game gets a sentence all to itself. Dissidia: Final Fantasy hits the US this Summer.

So, yea, overall I would say the PSP is Better, technically speaking.

If anyone has a different outlook, feel free to (intelligently) re-butt anything I just said...

*If anyone wants specific sources feel free to request them (or Google them), I don't feel like finding links for all these now.

*interesting tid-bit, I own a PSP and my gf has a DS, it's quite the interesting relationship....lol
