Kannagi author Takenashi Eri is still alive
Takenashi Eri has updated her site, which has not been updated since October, with a note about her long hiatus on Kannagi since November last year when she was hospitalized. She says she has already been discharged and now recuperating at home.
She doesn’t want to say what she is exactly down with as people might get even more worried about her condition, but she says that
it was a major illness that came as a result of her pushing herself too much.

She is still trying her best to get her stamina back before continuing Kannagi again, as
manga is all about stamina and if she tries to do it without being fully healthy it’ll just cause more problems again if she fails.
