Of the Japanese men I have known, none were ones I would want to be involved with romantically, though they were all great to work with and spend time talking to. You see, unless they have been rather "westernized", Japanese men of my generation often have a very different idea of a woman's role than I have developed. It could cause serious conflicts - and to my loss.
But there is always the chance of an exception.
