Have you ever thought about what would happen if rape was legal and socially accepted ?
That is social reason that make us refrain our sexual nature, nothing else.

At some point in social groups, there is only 2 choices left : Submission or Confrontation.

Maybe in your utopic way of thinking everyone should be just the same and have the same ressources but unfortunately, pure communism is a fantasy. There is no such things. Human should be born all equal but they are born differently, some more smarter and stronger than others. Therefore, wealth is distributed unequally. Authority is distributed unequally. That is the nature. The strongest of the lion get all the females while the weakest are kicked out. If the weak one want his share of females, he have to come back and confront the dominant male. Do you really think its so different from humans ??

For exemple, if my family was starving and the only ressources available where at my neighbor and he didn't want to give me any, I would go at war against him to get my share of food.

It's just natural.
Huh? Where'd you get the idea I'm a communist or a socialist?

The only difference between me and you is that I don't make stupid assumptions about human nature.

Why? Simple reason... I'm human and I don't have these so called urges that you think are natural.

It's not a weak argument... and I won't take it back because you haven't sufficiently countered it.

My argument is based purely on the fact that I believe the ability to reason and think rational thoughts are the only things which can truly be described as "human nature".

To sum up what I'm saying... I believe that BECAUSE OF the ability to reason, the perpetuation of the idea that a particular behaviour is innately human is usually used by people who want to justify immoral behaviour.

For that reason... APART from the ability to reason and rationalize our surrounding and manage our biological urges to a degree... no affirmative behaviour is innately human.

I am not arguing that conflict runs against human nature... I mean I agree with what you said before... war can be rationalised... but that does not make it human nature.
