No, the person was already asleep while his son was next to him awake. At a point in the story a woman comes in and her freezing cold breath covers the body of the man...FIRST PHRASE HERE.
So I assumed while he continues to sleep.
In the second it is talking about what happens inside with the spirit while a big storm goes on outside. The phrase right before my second phrase is 戸がかたんと開き. So I assume my second phrase means the snow was blown inside.
But the two phrases have the same auxiliary, but it seems two different situations, thus I can't catch the neance of 込む.
降り注ぐ雨 マジで冷てぇ
暗闇の中 歩くしかねぇ
everything’s gonna be okay 恐れることねぇ
辛い時こそ胸を張れ
