Linux distributions are getting heavy. Latest Anaconda (installer for Fedora9) require 640M of memery while CentOs 4.3 can be installed on 256M mem machine.
One of my server is working with FreeBSD6 on 96M mem machine wihtout GUI. I think this is the way Linux/FreeBsd should be.
When you want to work fully on GUI, Windows runs more faster on same environment. I do not recommend Linux to the people who need Winodws-like environment.
