In theory, it's a good idea.
In practice, however, it would mean a lot of work for the mods (unless more mods were recruited, of course). Apart from keeping an eye on Forum activity in general, they would also have to carefully monitor posts by individual users for who knows how long. But hey, let's see what the mods themselves say about this. If they're up for the task, then why not?
